This course is an introduction to the operation of boilers. The course focuses on the major components of boilers and how boilers operate to produce steam, heat and electricity. Students will also learn the theory behind the design, application, and safe operation of gas-fired burner equipment. The Learning Units include:
- Boiler Types and Design
- Process Controls
- Systems Operations
- Troubleshooting
- Basic Burner Maintenance and Basic Burner Tune-Up
- Water Chemistry
