High School Skills Competition

Heat Up Your Student’s Future and Enter Our Skills Competition
High school teams from across northeastern Wisconsin will come together on November 11, 2025, to showcase their project as part of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 400’s Heat Up Your Future skills competition.
Teams will build their pipe stoves to spec from September 1 to November 10 and bring them to the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 400 training center on November 11. Program instructors will judge each project based on correct dimensions, weld quality, and overall design/creativity. During the judging period, students will have the opportunity to tour the training center, meet with local members of the Mechanical Contractors Association, and speak with field professionals about careers in the pipe trades.
Register your team today to reap benefits for both your students and your school.
If your school can’t field a team, we invite you to attend as a spectator to listen to our guest speaker, tour the training facility, and meet area contractors.
