Political Action Letters

As a union worker, you represent not only your own concerns but those of your coworkers and our union as a whole. Writing a letter to an elected official can bring attention to issues that might otherwise go unnoticed. It’s an effective way to advocate for policies and laws that support labor rights, fair wages, and safe working conditions.

Solidarity is about standing together and often can lead to meaningful change. Regardless of which party you stand for, we have to come together as a whole to not only be heard, but also have our concerns be addressed.

A message from your Business Manager, Doug Dokey:

“After this November’s election one of our members contacted me about us helping get the word out to the elected state representatives that while we supported them, we also want them to understand the importance of unions. These letter templates cover the perspective from both our Republican brothers and sisters and our Democratic brothers and sisters.”
